Privacy Policy for Undead Citadel

Last updated:

Dark Curry S.L. ("we", "us" or "our") develops Undead Citadel. This policy explains how information is handled when you play the game, including its Meta Quest and PICO versions, or contact us for support. Dark Curry S.L. is responsible for the personal data it processes for the purposes described here.

Platform features and online services vary by version and store. A section describing a particular platform or optional feature applies when you use that platform or feature.

1. Platform information

Meta Quest

The Meta Quest version accesses platform account information, such as user identifiers and profile information, authentication and ownership information, and achievement data to authenticate players, verify access to the game and provide supported platform features. Deep-link information may also be used where supported. Meta-specific data requirements apply to the Meta Quest integration.

Meta separately handles its platform account, store and headset services under its privacy policy.

PICO

The PICO version uses the PICO Platform SDK to initialise platform services and check whether the player is entitled to use Undead Citadel. The game receives the entitlement result and uses it to allow or deny access. PICO may process the account, device and technical information needed to provide this platform service.

The PICO entitlement integration does not request a PICO user profile or call PICO achievement services. References to Meta account data and Meta policies in this document do not describe the PICO integration.

PICO handles its platform account, store and headset services under its privacy policy. Our PICO integration is also subject to the applicable PICO developer terms and platform data requirements.

2. Gameplay analytics

We use GameAnalytics in versions where analytics is enabled to understand gameplay and improve the player experience. Gameplay events can include tutorial interactions, progress and completed encounters. The service also processes technical and session information, which can include a generated or device identifier, IP address, device model, operating system, game version and event timestamps, depending on the SDK and configuration.

Analytics reports can be aggregated, but the underlying data should not be considered wholly anonymous: identifiers can distinguish a device or game installation. Data is transmitted to and processed by GameAnalytics; it is not limited to information held temporarily on the headset. See GameAnalytics' information about processing game-player data.

3. Online multiplayer and voice chat, where available

In versions offering online multiplayer, Unity Gaming Services provides player authentication and network connectivity. This involves a service-generated player identifier, connection information such as IP addresses, and the session and gameplay data needed to connect players and synchronise the game. Signing in without entering a name does not make this data fully anonymous.

Where voice chat is available and used, Unity Vivox processes player and channel identifiers and microphone audio to deliver speech to other participants. You can mute your microphone using the available voice controls or manage microphone access in your device settings. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

4. Support, storage and service providers

If you contact us, we process your email address, message and any information you provide to respond and resolve your request.

Information is handled by the relevant platform and service providers as described above, and by us when providing support or using service reports. This policy does not mean that no data is stored on external servers. Providers may process information outside your country; their linked notices and data-processing information describe their arrangements.

We retain personal data under our control for as long as needed for the stated purpose, including resolving support requests and meeting applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and service involved. You can contact us for information about the data associated with your use of the game.

5. Your rights and deletion requests

For privacy questions or to request access, correction or deletion of personal data, contact undeadcitadel@darkcurry.com. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain data portability, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and complain to a data protection authority.

Please tell us which platform you use and describe your request. If available, you may provide a relevant player or platform identifier; a Meta User ID is not required for PICO requests. Do not send passwords or authentication codes. We may ask for the information reasonably needed to identify the relevant data and verify your request.

We will handle requests concerning data under our control and coordinate with relevant service providers where appropriate. Requests concerning a platform account or data independently controlled by Meta or PICO may also need to be made directly to that provider. Deleting local game data does not necessarily delete information held by a platform or online service.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game and its services change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised date, and additional notice or consent will be provided where required by applicable law. This privacy notice does not itself constitute consent to optional data processing.
